There’s a great opportunity coming up for undergraduate students in SMD.
Every year, Queen Mary sends students from all three faculties to the British Conference of Undergraduate Research (BCUR).
Next year’s BCUR will be held in Cardiff, at the University of South Wales on 15th and 16th April.
Students participate in the conference by presenting original research in their subject, either in the form of a brief presentation or a poster. It’s a great opportunity to dive into a project that interests you, to improve your public speaking and meet people from all different academic backgrounds.
Applications open in one week’s time – 1st October. All you need to apply is a 250-word abstract outlining your project.
If your abstract is successful, Queen Mary will organise and pay for your travel, accommodation and conference ticket! We’ll also run practice sessions to help you prepare.
