QMUL ADVICE AND COUNSELLING
The Advice and Counselling Service offers a free and confidential service to all students at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. It is run by professional staff employed by the University.
Based in Mile End, they provide a range of confidential services to support students with financial, welfare, legal, emotional and psychological issues. They are offering an adapted service that’s accessible remotely and in person so you can be supported even through the Coronavirus pandemic.

DISABILITY AND DYSLEXIA SERVICE
The Disability and Dyslexia Service (DDS) offers support for all Barts and The London students with disabilities, specific learning difficulties and mental health issues. They offer advice and guidance for a number of areas such as dyslexia testing, disabled student allowance, examination arrangements, and provides special one to one tuition and support workers. This is particularly important in the context of Fit to Sit. If you have a known condition, or find yourself struggling at university and suspect you may have an undiagnosed condition, please contact them as you may be eligible for additional help and funding.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RESOURCES
As well as the information and advice we offered to all students, the Advice and Counselling Service offers international students specific advice on money, immigration and other practical aspects of living and studying in the UK
QMUL residenT Support
Available 24/7
If you live in university accommodation, the Residential Support team can answer any queries regarding your housing and logistical aspects of your self-isolation, and can help with things like food provision if you need. They will also be doing regular welfare checks on all self-isolating students. You can find out more on their website or email them at residences-reception@qmul.ac.uk or call 020 7882 6470. If you can’t get a hold of the team, please contact QMUL security.
HOUSING SERVICE
The College offers support for students who rent off-campus private sector accommodation. They can check tenancy agreements, provide advice with any housing issue and assist students with finding accommodation.

LEGAL ADVICE CENTRE
The School of Law runs a free Legal Advice Centre which is open to the public, University staff and students. The Centre aims to offer a reliable service to those with legal difficulties. The advice is provided by students of the School of Law (one of the best in the country), and supported by legal professionals.
