Intro
Black History Month comes to QMSU and BLSA in a few days, starting on Monday 1st October! This is the 2nd time Black History Month is being celebrated across the university, and it's set to be better than ever! You have the opportunity to try out new things and learn more about Black British History, a culture that has heavily impacted and contributed to our current society. Keep an eye out for the Black History Month Guides! They will be arriving very soon but until then, here are the events during the first week of October that you should include in your diaries!
Events
Monday 1st October - Meet and Greet with Barts and the London African and Caribbean Society
It'll be full of games and ice-breakers so you can get to know your committee and fellow members. Food and drink will also be provided. All Barts students from freshers to fifth-years are invited to enjoy the good vibes, good people and even better jollof!

Wednesday 3rd October - Black-Owned Business Fair
We have lots of companies coming to campus! Ranging from fashion designers to a music casting agency that has supplied singers for X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent, to a tutoring company to African-inspired stationary and jewellery. You have the opportunity to buy, sign-up, join and learn from entrepreneurs of African and Caribbean descent. Make sure you check it out!

Come and meet the Committee and get to know their plans and upcoming events for this academic year!
