It's that time of year again... MERGER!

Although, once again, this years Merger could not take place we have decided to run a campaign around an issue that is so relevant and important today: Inclusion and Anti-Racism in sport.

We present the Merger Cup campaign 2020+1"IT'S EVERYONE'S RACE".

This week, when Merger should have been in full flow, look out for our social media campaign, resources that we will be posting and of course our two amazing events:

• A Presentation and Panel Discussion with the Barts and The London Anti-Racism Steering Committee on Monday 22nd

• The Merger 2020+1 Quiz on Wednesday 24th

What is Merger?

The sporting highlight of the year is our varsity event against Queen Mary, known as The Merger Cup. Every March, teams from BL and QM are pitted against each other in a week-long competition.

The Merger cup started all the way back in 1995, when Barts and The London merged with QMUL. It runs as a series of annual sporting fixtures played all over London between QM and BL. Results for each fixture are tallied up to determine the overall winner.

Winners not only take away the cup but also gain ultimate bragging rights! Sporting excellence aside, the event is great fun and BL are always dedicated to keeping the cup in its rightful place #itsstayinghome

Due to the pandemic, the event had to be cancelled last year meaning BL remain the current champions having taken the Cup in 2019.
